Optimum Crush was founded in 2013 by Jerrod Dulmes in New Berlin, Wisconsin, with one clear mission: improving cone crusher efficiency for mining operations worldwide. Jerrod began his career at Excel™ Crusher Technologies — later acquired by FLSmidth® — where he served as a Product Design Engineer and ultimately Chief Engineer. During that time, he led the design and commissioning of the FLSmidth® Raptor® 200, 300, 400, 600, 900, 1100, 1300, and 2000 cone crushers, including direct responsibility for the Raptor® 900 and 2000.
When FLSmidth® closed its Wisconsin design office, Jerrod transitioned to independent consulting. Mining operations across North America quickly sought him out to train maintenance teams and troubleshoot performance issues on their cone crushers. Working directly on-site, he diagnosed problems and engineered improved replacement parts that solved them, parts that outperformed the OEM components they replaced. As word spread, Optimum Crush grew from a consulting practice into a full-scale aftermarket cone crusher parts supplier serving mines across the USA, Canada, Chile, Peru, Australia, and beyond.
To meet growing demand, Jerrod assembled a team of crushing industry veterans with unmatched collective experience. The team is further supported by retired engineers and specialists from FLSmidth®, Metso®, and Telsmith®, giving Optimum Crush a depth of machine-specific knowledge that no purely commercial aftermarket supplier can match.
Together, this team of cone crusher engineering veterans supplies nearly every component for FLSmidth® Raptor® XL500, XL600, XL900, XL1100, XL1300, and XL2000 cone crushers, as well as Metso® and Telsmith® machines. Their custom-engineered parts and on-site support have measurably improved crusher uptime, reduced operating costs, and increased crusher efficiency at mining operations across the USA, Canada, Chile, Peru, Australia, and beyond.
